Sunset over Water in snowFused Glass Garden Art
Using traditionally forged iron, commissioned from master craftsmen, Anne combines her fused glass designs with metal to create innovative glass art garden sculptures that compliment the outdoor landscape.
The picture you see here is of a piece that has been in a garden for the past year. It has withstood four feet of snow, minus 17 degrees celsius and 90 mile an hour gales!!!
Anne’s sculptures become part of the environment, she doesn’t aim to imitate nature but enhance it. Using iridescent and dichroic glass within her sculptures they act as focal points. By transmitting and reflecting light, the sculptures change as the light changes, will make a dull part of the garden bright, draw interest, and give pleasure for many years. The garden changes with the seasons, so it’s also important to have sculptures that can be moved so that you can change the mood of spaces within the garden.
Anne’s handcrafted fused glass sculptures would look equally as good in the home, as well as in the garden. As well as stand alone sculptures, Anne also creates colourful wall sculptures that will give a focal point to a blank wall or fence. Also, any of Anne's pieces of wall will look equally good in the garden, and will last a lifetime.
