Universe
- Conception
This is amazing. It
took a total of five weeks and six firings, as I gradually built
up the layers. I called it Universe - because
it reminds me of the swirling planets and streaks of light and
'Conception' because its an explosion that also looks like eggs
hatching.

The Flower Garden
I wanted to try and capture the vibrancy and colour of the
crockery in a Spanish market. Each flower has a dark
iridescent centre. The green homemade frit was created by
bashing different colours of green, wrapped in paper, with a
hammer then crushing it with my feet.

Shattered - A
Windy Day
A wall piece.
Dark claret red shattered pieces fired onto a clear base.
This was a beautiful handkerchief vase that got blown off
its stand by a strong wind at an outdoor exhibition. I
was shattered! I loved it. So I re-fired the
pieces to make a glass wall picture. Wall fixings included

stripes with multicoloured triangles and a grey square inserted
amongst the lines. Based on a painting by Mondrian.
